Orange County Register, 8-7-2024 Since publication of my Yellow Line invention, I have been asked by many people just how does the Yellow Line work and how did I come to patent such an invention. The Orange County Register story mentions how my invention was inspired by the 1973 Gator Bowl. This is true, but that inspiration came only after years of education and professional work in technical sciences and engineering. The history of my Yellow Line invention begins with my education at Don Bosco Technical Institute where I took two years of physics and four years of print shop graphics. At USC I majored in physics which included optics and a lot of analytic geometry. After graduating from USC in 1968, I joined the Naval Ocean Systems Command (NOSC) to begin my career in science and engineering.
